An interdisciplinary physical dance theater creation involving U-M faculty and students, DRACULA explores Bram Stoker's life, Irish history, Romanian folklore, and the evolution of vampire mythology. In VIM VIGOR's signature aesthetic, which blends robust physicality with daring theatrical and emotional expression, this work examines Dracula's insatiable hunger as a reflection of modern loneliness. It also addresses the intersection of horror and gender, depicting how the genre eroticizes and consumes the female body. DRACULA captures the essence of human storytelling and the monsters we create to navigate our lives.
